The residences will be located west of our hospital in our 15-acre site in Ouesso (top left)
Stable housing helps medics stay, serve, and train others
Why this matters
In Ouesso, our dedicated medical team faces a silent crisis every day: severely substandard local housing with frequent power outages and water shortages, which drains the vital energy our healthcare workers need to care for others.
The Challenges We Face
Living Conditions: Local rentals lack reliable power and water, draining both our staff’s energy and our limited resources.
Bottleneck in Care: Without safe, family-ready homes, we struggle to recruit and retain the long-term medical specialists we need.
Meeting Global Standards: Healthcare partner organizations require basic duty-of-care standards before sending skilled personnel to remote settings.
On-site housing enables visiting teams serve the community
What the residences include
Your donation helps turn our 15-acre area into a home base for healthcare workers whose mission is to restore health, vision, and dignity to the people of Congo:
Townhouse: Long-term staff housing in a building for 5 healthcare worker families.
Visitors’ Quarters: Six-bedroom residence with shared facilities that can host 24 visitors.
Director’s Residence: For a long-term family, guests, rooms for member care, counselling and meetings.
