Papa Hervé was a fisherman but lost his livelihood when he became blind 3 years ago. He became completely dependent on his family. His daughters took him on a motorbike and travelled along dirt roads for two days to reach the New Sight eye centre. His operation was very successful and the first thing he said as we removed his eye pad was, “I can see my hands now!” Just imagine the excitement of that first glimpse of himself, means he could see his family with his own eyes again and also return to his livelihood!
